Somewhat stupidly i booked my original flight to Nepal 31 days apart. I had planned to get a visa extension to my 30 day visa on my spare day in Kathmandu (today) but I went to the department of immigration and it was closed for some unexplained reason, with the guard telling me to come back tomorrow. My visa expires today (22nd) and i fly at 9.30am tomorrow (23rd). Has anyone been in a similar situation? Can i pay the overstay fee with some grovelling at the airport? If they send me back to the department of immigration I will miss my flight. I've also seen posts saying the day of departure is not included in the visa so I'd technically be ok - has anyone else experienced this? Any help / advice appreciated!
